Q. What’s the most meaningful part of working with the Florida Network?
Wendy: “IMPACT!!! Having real-world lasting impact on the youth and families we serve.”
Q. What do you wish you had more time for each day?
Wendy: “NAPS!!! I’ve read reports and studies on the benefits of naps; however my mind/body is resistant to applying that before bedtime.”
Q. What book have you read that has impacted you most and why?
Wendy: “‘Their Eyes Were Watching God’ by Zora Neale Hurston – The journey and evolution of the protagonist, Janie Mae Crawford, represents the possibility and resiliency in achieving a sense of self and independence.”
Q. What keeps you going when you feel pressure or uncertainty?
Wendy: “The opportunity to learn from the experience and from others.”
Q. What is something about the Florida Network you wish more people knew about?
Wendy: “We walk the walk! We show up for our communities and partners in supporting and creating safe pathways to the young people in Florida and building stronger families.”
Q. What’s your favorite weekend activity?
Wendy: “Travel, farmers market, festivals, beach, bike, fish, read, and rest.”
Q. Who inspires you?
Wendy: “My family.”
Q. What do you want your legacy to be?
Wendy: “A life-long learner and explorer, who was devoted to loved ones, and who consistently delivered high quality and service to others.”
