Florida Network shelters give young people ages 10-17 a safe place to stay for a little while, and someone to talk to about whatever is going on in their life. These shelters serve as a place for kids who are –
- Out of control
- Homeless
- Running away
- Skipping school
- Depressed
- Anxious
- Lacking confidence
- Withdrawn
- Disconnected
- Defiant
- Aggressive
- Grieving
Our network of shelters around the state never close. There will always be people there to answer the phone or the door. Our counselors help families resolve differences, solve problems, and talk to each other about their feelings. If a family needs more help than we can offer, we introduce them to people who can help them, and make sure they are getting what they need. We use our time with each young person and family to truly understand what is going on and plan together for better days.
Make your family problems smaller…
Stop Now And Plan groups are for parents with children ages 6-11, who struggle with their feelings. Highly trained facilitators work with each family to assess challenges and develop an action plan. As your child’s behavior improves, your family grows stronger. Free childcare for siblings and meals for everyone are always included. The primary goal of SNAP is to help you feel good about being a parent again.
Talk to someone who cares…
